The course will examine current theoretical debates about aesthetic strategies in addressing the Anthropocene. It will highlight and analyse exemplary works of literature, film and visual art that actively engage with the current ecological predicament, identifying characteristics of an 'Anthropocene aesthetics' as expression of a new epochal consciousness.
