The Dies Academicus will take place on Monday, 13 March 2023, to celebrate the University of Vienna's 658th birthday. The thematic focus this year will be on the topic of Climate, Environment and Sustainability, with a panel discussion on Planetary Health – Climate, Environment, Sustainability.

VAN founder Eva Horn will participate in the live discussion, alongside Franz Essl (Botany and Biodiversity Research), Thilo Hofmann (Environmental Geosciences), Christa Schleper (Functional and Evolutionary Ecology), Michael Wagner (Microbiology and Ecosystem Science), and Rector Sebastian Schütze.

All members of the university are invited to join the panel discussion (11:00 - 12:30 CET) in-person at the University of Vienna Biology Building (UBB) or via live stream on YouTube.
