Anthropocene: The Undeniable Truth (2024)

Bringing together expert views from current and former Anthropocene Working Group members, this film documents the efforts of twelve research teams around the globe to evaluate the lasting anthropogenic imprint in the geological layers of the Earth. We highly recommend this documentary to anyone interested in learning more about the search for a “golden spike” of the Anthropocene and its significance for the sciences and beyond.

“Anthropocene – The Undeniable Truth” by Cédric Defert and Cécile Dumas was co-produced by Look At Sciences and ARTE France.

Videofilm – “Records of Loss” (2020)

“Records of Loss: Images of a Glacier” is a videofilm created by Axel Braun on behalf of the Vienna Anthropocene Network. A screening of the film took place during the panel discussion “Vanishing Ice” in January 2020.

The film traces the history of Austria’s largest glacier, Pasterze, contraposing past and present images to record the loss of glacial landscapes over time.
